Lead Counselor - CADC II, ICADC
I am Stephanie Huihui-Barker. I have been in the field of Addiction since 2003. I have been certified with the state of California and internationally since 2006. I have been clean and sober since 2003 as I have personally experienced the effects of chemical dependency. I absolutely love what I do as I teach clients about the most important tools for their recovery choices. I give hope to struggling people by teaching them the tools and information to get clean and sober so that they may stay clean and sober and have the life that they want and deserve.I work extensively with self-forgiveness, self-esteem, forgiveness in general, adult trauma, childhood trauma, domestic violence, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, seeking safety, and other methods as well. I have worked in many different recovery environments including at a women and children’s residential alcohol and drug treatment facility, and in a men’s adult correctional facility where I became a supervising counselor. I am now here at Towns Health services and I very much look forward to serving you. My job is not only what I do, it is who I am.
