Suboxone is a combination of Naltrexone and Buprenorphine that acts as a partial agonist (Naltrexone) and antagonist (Buprenorphine) at the mu-opioid receptor. It is a prescription medicine intended to prevent relapse in people who have moderate to severe opioid dependency. It is especially effective for those who smoke or inject heroin on a daily basis. Suboxone withdrawal treatment is also medically supervised. We examine and analyze each person to see if they are a good fit for the Suboxone program. This includes an initial alcohol/drug examination to determine whether an individual needs a higher treatment level and whether Suboxone is medically suitable.
